Wood Destroying Insects - I wanted to take a moment and talk about wood destroying insects (WDI). WDI cause millions of dollars worth of damage every year, but their damage is often overlooked, or even mistaken for "dry rot". So how can you tell if you have wood destroying insect damage? The pictures below show some common examples. Use these pictures to help identify the damage in your home:


Termite Damage (notice the dirty tunnels and that their mess is on the inside)
