I this month's home inspection pictures we see a chimney that was in distress, to say the least. After that, we see a frost free hose bib, an important item to have on your home in the cold North here.
Home Inspections - What do you think of when you hear those words? For many, they feel stressed. They wonder what the home inspector will find, if it can be fixed, and how it will be fixed. In the end though, a home inspection is not meant to be stressful, it is meant to be informative.
At times though, the information can be stressful. But keep in mind that everything can be fixed, and that finding an issue does not always dash your hopes and dreams in your new home.
Take a home inspection and your home inspection report and review it them thoroughly. Ask questions, research possible ways to address things, get second opinions. Doing all of this will keep you informed and aware. Also, talk with your home inspector and get his perspective on the issues discovered.
In short, a home inspection is a great thing to have, and should never be "feared".
